2014 RESULTS ARE POSTED!
2014 Offers a Perfect Race Day!
Saturday, March 22 brought beautiful weather and perfect temperatures for everyone involved in the Martinsville Half Marathon, 5K & Relay! Registration topped 400. Many thanks are offered to all of the volunteers, sponsors, and race participants that made this event a success.
Use of the new timing system enabled sharing results within minutes of the run. A generous grant from the Women in Philanthropy group of the Martinsville Area Community Foundation allowed for the purchase of the excellent system. Apologies are offered for the delay of the race start due to a connectivity issue.
Professional race photos were captured by Kenny Webster. Please visit his website, www.henrycosports.com to view and purchase photos.
Personal stories of determination are being gathered for the Elster Determination Award. If you have a story or wish to share a story on behalf of someone you know, please share it via email with Brad Kinkema, CEO of the Martinsville-Henry County Family YMCA, firstname.lastname@example.org. Read others' stories by clicking on the Elster Determination Award orange buttons.
Check back as the date for 2015 will be set soon. Congratulations to all runners, wear your swag with pride!

Doug, not satisfied with just surviving cancer, was determined to do what he loves... running.
Share your story and inspire others. Each year, Miles in Martinsville will recognize all nominees and pick one overall winner for the Elster Determination Award. We want to hear your story of determination and the challenges you have overcome to be the person you are today. Inspire others -- share your experience. E-mail your story to: email@example.com.
