Date Set for 2014 - Believe and Achieve!
Mark your calendar, the date for the Martinsville Half Marathon, 5K & Relay is set for March 22 in 2014! The half begins at 8:00 a.m. with the 5K starting shortly thereafter. Start training now, join the team being hosted through the Martinsville YMCA. Packet pick up will be available on Friday March 21 from noon to 7, and Saturday March 22 beginning at 6:30 a.m.
Special Features of the Martinsville Half Marathon, 5K & Relay include:
Relay teams must consist of three members and can be coed or all one gender. A train whistle will be passed from one team member to the next as they pass through the transition areas which are:

Haven't run a 5K or Half Marathon? That's okay ... we believe in you!
Get support and encouragement from veteran runners while meeting others training for their first big race. The Half Marathon training team begins meeting on Tuesday, January 14 and the 5K and relay team begins meeting on Monday, February 10. Every week each team will meet on their respective day from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Martinsville YMCA. The fee, which includes race registration is $65 for the Half and $45 for the 5K and relay team. When you register, you receive a long sleeve unisex shirt, weekly topics and run, a training schedule and plenty of support and encouragement! Martinsville is easy to get to -- a mere 60 minutes south of Roanoke and 60 minutes north of Greensboro, both along the 220 corridor; and 30 minutes from Danville on Route 58 West. The race begins at the Martinsville Y, 3 Starling Avenue in the city.
